Jen Humphrey

Jen Humphrey is associate director for external affairs at the Life Span Institute. She joined the institute in 2018 after serving as the director of external affairs at the KU Biodiversity Institute and Natural History Museum for 11 years and as a senior editor at the KU Endowment Association. A strategic communications manager, she has led efforts in communications, marketing, media relations, strategic planning, events and development. She supports Life Span investigators by helping engage with the public broadly through online and print media as well as events and fundraising opportunities. She holds a master of fine arts in creative writing and undergraduate degrees in journalism and women's studies from the University of Kansas.
