Describing the home language learning envrionment of toddlers with Down syndrome using the LENA system

Description

This project is gathering information about the nature of the home language envrionment of toddlers by testing a new digital speech recorder called LENA (Language Environment Analysis). The goal is to learn more about communications patterns between infants and toddlers with Down syndrome and their parents during natural home routines. Outcomes of this project have the potential to guide language treatment programs in the home and early intervention centers.
