The impact of intervention on self-determination and adult oucomes

This is a current project.

Description

This project is conducting three major national studies to examine and document the impact of interventions to promote the self-determination of students from three demographic groups: those with high-incidence disabilities (learning disabilities, mild intellectual disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders), those with low-incidence disabilities (moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, severe autism), and those students who are at risk for poor adult outcomes (students with disabilities from foster systems or the juvenile justice system). Participants are students, ages 16-21, who are receiving special education services through public schools in seven states, including Kansas.
