Training researchers in language impairments
This is a current project.
Description
This grant supports a cross-disciplinary training program for doctoral students who plan to pursue research and teaching careers in language impairments in children. Trainees are prepared in the fundamental neurosciences (such as molecular biology, biochemistry, and physiology), communication disorders, cognitive neuroscience, linguistics, developmental psychology and quantitative research methods. Trainees enroll in content courses, conduct research projects with faculty mentors, and participate in workshops, seminars and other teaching and research activities related to their specific discipline.
