Promoting early social-communicative competency in toddlers with autism

This is a current project.

Description

Researchers are studying the Joint Attention Mediated Learning (JAML) model for toddlers with early signs of autism. Joint attention is the ability to coordinate attention between another person and external objects or events, a critical developmental milestone that can be difficult for children with autism. This study will demonstrate the effectiveness of JAML while incorporating activities that center on the family and that are developmentally appropriate for toddlers.
