Interactive Book Reading to Accelerate Word Learning by Children with SLI

Specific Language Impairment (SLI) affects approximately 7.4 percent of kindergarten children. The significant language deficits inherent in SLI have marked consequences for academic achievement and quality of life. This research project seeks to develop and test a treatment to ameliorate at least one component of this language impairment, namely, word learning deficits.
