Elucidating the Role of Neuroactive Steroids in Tourette Syndrome

Tourette Syndrome is a neuropsychiatric disorder with numerous socioeconomic implications. Understanding the causes underlying this condition will provide new therapeutic targets for better pharmacological intervention. This study will investigate the mechanisms of interaction between the neurotransmitter Dopamine and the mediators of the stress response in animal models related to Tourette Syndrome.
