Augmentative and Alternative Communication in the Schools: Leadership and Access (ACTS) - Kansas City

This project will provide specialized training to speech-language pathology graduate students pursuing Master of Arts degrees to improve communication and curricular access for students who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). The ACTS-KC project is unique in that it combines a longitudinal service perspective; collaboration among practicing teachers, graduate students, and families; school based fieldwork; and a culturally diverse perspective.
