My current work with SWIFT Education Center includes being a member of the Center’s Executive Team and Research Programs Director with emphasis on supporting state education agencies (SEAs). In this role, I provide technical assistance to State Leadership and Implementation Teams, and oversee dissemination of SWIFT Center resources and products across multiple audiences. I manage SWIFT Center human resources and finances, including negotiating and monitoring sub-awards, assuring fiscal accountability, and maintaining compliance with sponsored project guidelines. I also oversee project implementation, technical assistance, and training. I recently co-authored the SWIFT SEA Blueprint for Equity Based Inclusive Reform, an overview of TA practices and collaborative learning structures to support SEAs in whole system implementation of the MTSS framework. Prior to my SWIFT leadership, I was a consultant for PBIS in Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado; PBIS State Coordinator for Oklahoma; and a special educator who worked with schools and communities to support students with emotional/behavioral challenges.
